Terms and conditions of sale.
What applies to any order placed here, written before you place one.
Purpose and scope
These terms govern sales concluded on this site between the company and the buyer. They are accepted when the order is placed, and can be read at any time from the footer. The version that applies is the one online on the day of the order.
The seller
Maison Poublan. The seller’s full identity — company name, legal form, registered office, registration and intra-EU VAT number — appears in the legal notice, with which these terms form a whole. Legal notice.
Ordering
The basket lists the items, quantities and amount before you confirm. The order becomes firm once payment is taken; a confirmation email then repeats the details, the VAT rate applied and the reason for it. An item shown as “made to order” is sold without immediate stock: its lead time is shown before you confirm.
Prices
Prices are in euros. Each page states whether it shows them excluding or including tax, and the basket shows both before payment. Shipping is added in the basket, based on destination and weight; it is visible before any payment, never after.
Payment
Payment is made online by card when the order is placed. Card details are entered with our payment provider and do not pass through this site: we keep no record of them.
Delivery
Lead times and areas served are set out on the Delivery and returns page, which forms part of these terms. Stated lead times run from payment. Delivery and returns.
Right of withdrawal
A private buyer has fourteen days from delivery to withdraw, without giving a reason or paying a penalty. Goods made on demand — made-to-measure cuts, configured lampshades — are excluded by law. Return arrangements and who bears the cost remain [ à compléter : return arrangements and costs ].
Warranties
The buyer benefits in any case from the legal warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects, which apply without any formality. Any commercial warranty, which would add to these without replacing them, remains [ à compléter : commercial warranty, or “none” ].
Personal data
The details entered are used to process and deliver the order and to issue the invoice. They are neither sold nor passed on. A copy or their erasure can be obtained by writing to us.
Complaints and disputes
Any complaint should first be addressed to us, by email or telephone. Failing agreement, a consumer may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator, whose appointment remains [ à compléter : consumer mediator ].
These terms are governed by French law. The competent court remains Tribunal de commerce de Paris.
